There is one guy on a progressive Democratic forum in Yahoo! groups who posts articles which are based on nothing more than wild rumors from far right-wing websites. Some of the articles he posts make outrageous accusations against the Obama Administration and its supposed march toward a tyrannical regime akin to that of the Nazis.
His most recent one is a piece from something called the Tenth Amendment Center on how government agents are engaging in indefinitely detaining people under NDAA and that there is a bill in the Kansas legislature which nullifies NDAA’s indefinite detention. I have no idea where this guy gets his information, but I do know that nullification has been rejected by the U.S. Supreme Court. The article in question is at http://tenthamendmentcenter.com/2013/02/06/resistance-to-ndaa-kidnapping-powers-is-our-duty/. As regards indefinite detention, I’m curious if anyone has been actually detained under NDAA.
This guy has posted other articles of the same type. He once posted an article from an outfit called Infowars where a Nobel Peace Prize nominee named Jim Garrow accuses Barack Obama of having a litmus test for new American military leaders of whether or not they would obey an order to fire on U.S. citizens. This article is at http://www.infowars.com/nobel-peace-prize-nominee-obama-asks-military-leaders-if-they-will-fire-on-us-citizens/.
He not only posts dreck about the Obama administration and its supposed reach for tyranny, but has also posted articles on topics such as modern medicine and has asserted that vaccinations are more dangerous than the diseases they prevent happening. I hate to find out what will happen when he and his wife have kids and they become old enough to go to school and they need state-mandated inoculations. To me, he sounds like a whacko, but what do I know?
